@UAMSOFTBALL SWEPT IN SERIES BY SOUTHWESTERN

WEATHERFORD, Okla. — The University of Arkansas at Monticello softball team was swept in the series Saturday by Southwestern Oklahoma State, 8-5, and 11-4.

  • 2nd Inning : Katelynn Stamper grounded out to shortstop which knocked in Freeman to lead 2-0. 
  • 5th Inning : Currey reached on a SWOSU error to see Bolter cross the plate as UAM trailed 4-3. 
  • 5th Inning : Clendenin provided a sacrifice fly to left field which brought home Herbner from third to tie up the game at 4-4. 
  • 6th Inning : Bolter grounded out to first base to score Stamper from third as UAM trailed SWOSU 8-5, but the Blossoms could not produce any more runs to fall to the Bulldogs by the final out.

  • 4th Inning: Herbner reached on a SWOSU error to see Bolter, and McGhee cross the plate for the 2-0 lead. 
  • 5th Inning: Freeman singled through the left side to knock in Aubree Head to push the lead to 3-1 overall.  
  • 6th Inning: Clendenin singled up the middle which scored Currey to put the score at 6-4 in favor of SWOSU.  
    • Unfortunately Southwestern added five more runs in the bottom of the sixth inning to take the game at 11-4.
