@UAMSOFTBALL STUMBLES ON THE ROAD AGAINST REDDIES

ARKADELPHIA, Ark. — The University of Arkansas at Monticello softball team was defeated twice on the road by Henderson State Saturday by scores of 8-6, and 7-1.

  • 1st Inning : Ashton Currey got UAM on the board first in this contest with a single to left which saw Herbner score. 
  • 1st Inning : Jewels Caro singled to right field to see Currey score for the 2-0 advantage.  
  • 1st Inning : Aubree Head grounded out to second base, but Clendenin would cross the plate to extend the lead. 
  • 1st Inning : Kali Bolter also grounded out, but provided the opportunity for Caro to come home for the run. 
  • 1st Inning : Katelynn Stamper added a RBI single to center field to knock in Kaylee Freeman with two outs.  
  • 1st Inning : Finnigan singled to right center to cap off the opening inning scoring for UAM for the 6-0 lead. 
    • Unfortunately the Reddies went on to score eight total runs throughout the remainder of the game, and claimed the victory at 8-6 in the end.

    • The Reddies stormed back however, and ultimately completed the sweep of the Blossoms, 7-1.
