MONTICELLO — The University of Arkansas at Monticello baseball team swept the day versus Henderson State Saturday afternoon by scores of 5-4, and 7-4.

  • 3rd Inning:  Ray singled to left center to see Weiss cross the plate, cutting the deficit to just 3-2. 
  • 3rd Inning:  Wagner grounded out to shortstop, but Dodd was able to come home and tie up the game at 3-3.  
  • 8th Inning:  Rowton fueled the Weevils ahead of Henderson State with a singled to center field to score two runs, and UAM went on to take the game at 5-4.

  • 1st Inning:  Andres Rios got UAM on the board first in the opening inning with a sac fly out to left field to score Garrett Dodd. 
  • 1st Inning:  Johnson singled through the right side of the field to knock in Ray for the 2-0 advantage. 
  • 2nd Inning:  Wagner walked with the bases loaded to see Brakebill cross the plate, putting the lead at 3-0. 
  • 2nd Inning:  Rios capped off the Weevils' scoring with a grand slam home run to left field, and UAM went on to claim the game at 7-4 by the final out, and take the series at 2-1 overall.
