MONTICELLO — The University of Arkansas at Monticello softball team split the day with No. 19 Arkansas Tech at home on senior day, falling in game one 3-0, and winning game two, 10-7.

  • 1st Inning: Currey tied up the game at 1-1 with a solo home run to left center, her third home run of the season. 
  • 2nd Inning: Stamper singled to left field to see two runs cross the plate as the Blossoms took a 3-1 lead over ATU. 
  • 5th Inning: Aubree Head singled through the left side to knock in a run, putting the Golden Sun lead at 7-4.
  • 5th Inning: McGhee added a RBI single to left as well to see Currey come home for the 7-5 score. 
  • 5th Inning: Clendenin scored on a wild pitch as the Blossoms cut the ATU advantage to just 7-6. 
  • 5th Inning: Bolick continued the UAM scoring with a RBI single to left field to tie the game up at 7-7. 
  • 5th Inning: Skyler Anderson drew a bases loaded walk to see McGhee score, giving the home squad an 8-7 lead. 
  • 5th Inning: Stamper was able to reach safely on an ATU error as two runs crossed the plate to put the lead out to 10-7, and the Blossoms sealed the game off for the GAC victory.

  • Arkansas-Monticello hits the field next tomorrow Monday, April 16 as UAM will face Arkansas Tech at Blossoms Field to wrap up the series with a double-header slated for a 1:00 p.m. start.
