MONTICELLO — The University of Arkansas at Monticello baseball team was defeated twice at home by Southern Arkansas Saturday, however the Weevils claimed the GAC Regular Season Championship by the end of the day.

• 1st Inning:  UAM got on the board first with a bases loaded walk to see Weiss cross the plate.
• 1st Inning:  Another bases loaded walk saw Dodd come home for the 2-0 lead. 
• 1st Inning:  A third bases loaded walk brought Brian Ray home as the Weevils led 3-0. 
• 1st Inning:  Borman flew out to center field for the sacrifice fly, scoring Wagner from third base. 
• 5th Inning:  Brakebill grounded out to second base, which saw Johnson score from third to put the lead at 5-3. 
• 9th Inning:  A bases loaded walk saw Wagner score, but the Muleriders were able to seal this contest off and win it 11-6 by the final out.

• 4th Inning:  Ray crushed a three-run home run to right field to tie up the game at 3-3.
• 4th Inning:  Sean Wagner was able to score on a wild pitch from SAU to see UAM take a 4-3 lead.
• 5th Inning:  Weiss hit a solo home run to cut the SAU lead down to just 7-5, but the Muleriders went on to score 15 total runs in this game to ultimately take the series. 
   

• The Weevils will now look to the Great American Conference Championship Tournament where UAM will square off with sixth seeded Southwestern Oklahoma State, Saturday, May 5 in Enid, Oklahoma at 12:00 p.m.
