The Women's Golf team are champions at the Cooper's Hawk Invite at Cooper's Hawk Golf Course in Melbourne, AR. The Blossom's shot 335 the first round to finish the day in 3rd place. After a final round of 326, the Women found themselves at the top of the leaderboard, jumping Cardinal Stritch and Blue Mountain College with a total score of 661. The team that contributed to the 4-stroke victory included Anna Beth Gulledge, Maddie Mattocks, Skylar Mast, Belle Tan, and Leah Rowe. Anna Beth Gulledge battled a shoulder injury after shooting 110 and withdrawing the second day. Maddie Mattocks contributed with rounds of 83 and 89 (172), finishing tied 11th. Skylar Mast completed with a top ten finish at a tie for 7th, shooting 87 and 81 (168). Belle Tan fired rounds of 81 and 80 (161) earning her 4th place and a spot on the all-tournament team. Leah Rowe lead the team for the second week in a row shooting 84 and 76 (160). This earned Leah a 3rd place finish.
Belle Tan finds motivation in her team's win with only two weeks until the conference championships. "This win continues to motivate us, to encourage each other, and work hard as a team as we go into conference." This is Belle Tan's 3rd year as a Blossom. Her leadership has allowed for this young team to prosper. "I am very proud of the girls for coming back and winning the tournament. We did well and stayed motivated." The women hope to continue their good play after their season best score.
