SCOUTING THE WEEVILS
UAM is riding a six-game winning streak and has not lost since December 7th at Arkansas Tech University.

Last time out, the Weevils continued their impressive offensive play this season with a 93-73 win over Northwestern Oklahoma State while SEOSU won a matchup at Harding University, 80-64.

Much of UAM's success this season has derived from being one of the top offenses in the country. The Weevils are 17th in NCAA Division II in scoring offense (89.5 ppg) and 19th in scoring margin (+15.2). UAM has also dished out 251 assists which ranks 14th in the country and are shooting 49.6 percent from the field this season which is good enough for 27th in the nation.

UAM is also one of the best rebounding teams in the country ranking ninth in total rebounds (619) and 26th in rebounds per game (41.3).

KJ Lesure continues to lead the Weevils offensive charge. He just earned his third GAC Player of the Week honor and is currently the team's top scorer averaging 18.9 points per game. He also leads the team in assists per contest at 6.7 and he's also shooting 85.5 percent from the free-throw line.

Over the Weevils six-game winning streak, Lesure has put together some ridiculous numbers averaging 25.0 points, 6.0 assists and 4.8 rebounds per game. In that stretch, he is also shooting 51.3 percent from the field, 48.8 percent from downtown and 86.4 percent from the free-throw line.

UAM also has four other players averaging at least 10.0 points per game in Justin Slocum (14.7), Marcus Gilbert (13.9), Austin Hardy (12.6) and Denzel McDuffey (10.6).

McDuffey and Slocum have also been pretty important in the rebounding category for the Weevils with McDuffey nabbing 8.5 rebounds and Slocum snagging 6.5 rebounds per game.

Hardy's claim to fame this year has been his three-point shooting. He leads the team in three-point field goal percentage at 43.6.

Gilbert has been doing a little bit of everything getting 4.5 rebounds per game and dishing out 3.9 assists per game, while leading the team in minutes played (36.4).

Southeastern Oklahoma has been one of the better teams in NCAA Division II in holding on to the ball and dishing out assists. They are sixth in the country in assist turnover ratio (+1.61) and 14th in assists per game (18.6).

The Savage Storm are averaging 82.9 points per game while holding opponents to 71.4 points per contest shooting 49.0 percent from the field and 38.8 percent from downtown.
