GAME ONE: SWOSU 19 – UAM 7
Similar to Friday's game, both teams combined for quite a few hits, but SWOSU used a nine-run seventh and a five-run ninth inning to prevail over the Weevils.
The game was back-and-forth until the seventh inning. In the first, after the Bulldogs tallied a run, the Weevils responded in the bottom frame with a pair of RBI from
Jordan Johnson and
David Reyna.
Later, SWOSU pushed across runs in the third to take a lead, but UAM did the same in the bottom frame on RBI singles from
Dylan Borman and
Aaron Gaela.
Southwestern then tallied a run in the top of the fourth, but Johnson tied the game hammering a solo home run (7) out of the yard to make it 5-4 UAM.
SWOSU tallied a run the fifth to tie the contest and exploded for nine in the seventh to take a 14-5 lead.
The Weevils added two runs in the bottom of the inning on an RBI groundout and a Borman home run (1), but SWOSU put the game out of reach in the ninth with five more runs going on to win, 19-7.

The Bulldogs added runs in the fourth and sixth to go ahead, 4-1.
