MONTICELLO, Ark. – The University of Arkansas at Monticello softball team will host Northwestern Oklahoma State University this Friday and Saturday for a Great American Conference series at Alvy Early Softball Field. UAM will play a pair of doubleheaders starting at 1 p.m. on Friday and 12 p.m. on Saturday.

BLOSSOM NOTES
UAM will return to action this weekend after splitting a road series at Southwestern Oklahoma State. After losing both first games of the games on Friday and Saturday, the Blossoms bounced back from game two victories to get the split.
UAM continues to hit pretty well with five players hitting above .300 and bumping the team average to .283 (129-for-456) with 16 home runs and 86 RBI.
Leading the way is
Hannah Holdbrook, who carries a .367 (11-for-30) with two home runs and 12 RBI and six runs scored.
Sierra Gasca is right behind batting .350 (14-for-40) with one double and she is 5-of-9 in stolen base attempts.
Caroline Tedder has been one of the team's top bats as well hitting .320 (16-for-50) with five home runs and 17 RBI.
The Blossoms have been struggling to keep runs off the board in the circle this season with a 5.49 ERA (90 ER in 114.2 IP).
Alexis Pevehouse has been the team's best hurler with a 4.85 ERA (27 ER in 39.0 IP) and she carries a 3-4 record and one save.

RANGERS NOTES
The Rangers come into this game struggling having lost four in a row and all eight of their conference games thus far. They have also been outscored in their last four games 57-5.
The Rangers are hitting .260 (95-for-365) as a team and have four players batting above .300.
Kalie Johnson leads the way with a .383 average (18-for-47) with three doubles and seven RBI, while Alexus bailey is batting .355 (11-for-31) with a pair of doubles and leads the team in slugging percentage at .516.
NWOSU has a team era of 7.95 (103 ER in 90.2 IP) and have just two hurlers with an ERA under 6.00.
Alexia Taylor and Alli Willis both carry 5.60 ERA's (12 ER in 15.0 IP). Taylor has struck out six batters and Willis has punched out five.
Hannah Howell has surrendered 38 ER in 42.1 IP, but leads the team in K's with 24.
