Box Score MONTICELLO, Ark. - The University of Arkansas at Monticello volleyball team fell just shy of taking down Ouachita Baptist University in its Great American Conference matchup Thursday night. The Blossoms went game for game with the Tigers, forcing a fifth set, but ultimately came up short in the final set 15-8.
UAM fell to 8-17 on the season after dropping its conference match this afternoon.
The first time UAM played the Tigers was back on September 23 in Arkadelphia, also a five set game. Thursday's loss to OBU came by final scores of 25-19, 10-25, 25-22, 23-25, and 15-8.
Jamie Agnew, Hailey Fike, and Riley Krenek each had double digit kills for UAM in the contest with Agnew leading the way with 21. Hailey Fike and Riley Krenek followed with 10 apiece.
Mia Smalls led the way for the Blossoms with 44 assists to go along with 17 digs and a service ace.
Defensively, Katelyn Richbourg was a wall, posting 27 digs for the blossoms. Mia Smalls, Jamie Agnew, and Taylor Crighton also paced UAM with 17, 16, and 13 digs, respectively.

UAM heads to Magnolia, Arkansas Tuesday, Nov. 2 for a conference match up with Southern Arkansas University. The Blossoms are scheduled to play SAU at 6:00 PM that evening.
