Box Score KANSAS CITY, MO. – The University of Arkansas at Monticello Men's basketball team fell in their second contest of the year Sunday 75-52 to #1 ranked Northwest Missouri State University.
The first half was not an ideal beginning for the Weevils. Though they scored the first points of the match, UAM would not see another lead for the remainder of the half. The bearcats defense proved to be a force as they stopped any momentum that Monticello had. UAM was only able to put up 18 points throughout the entirety and trailed the Bearcats 40-18 as the half came to an end.
The second half proved to be a much better showcase from the Weevils as they went back and forth with the Bearcats for the remainder of the game. UAM put up 34 points compared to Northwest Missouri State's 35 points. Even with Monticello having given best efforts, they were unable to take back the lead the Bearcats had built. UAM finished out the match with a final score of 75-52
Josh Williams finished as the leading scorer for the Weevils tallying 10 points in the game. Richard Feagin Jr. and Ray Price also contributed 9 points a piece.

UAM will be back in action Thursday evening for a 7:30 p.m. contest against Arkansas Baptist College at Steelman Field House. This will be the first UAM MBB home game of the season!
