CLEVELAND, MS. – The University of Arkansas at Monticello Women's Basketball team falls in their fifth contest of the year Monday 75-66 to Delta State University.
The first quarter was a back-and-forth affair with both teams trading buckets, but the Blossoms trailed 17-15 at the end of the quarter after UAM scored in the final seconds.
The second quarter finished with the largest difference in score between the two teams. The Lady Statesmen were able to best the Blossoms by outscoring them 17-12 in the quarter.
The third and fourth quarters were very similar as UAM and DSU continued to put points on the board. The Blossoms only managed 39 points across the second half, while Delta State would score 41. Though UAM was very well matched against DSU, they were unable to take back the lead, resulting in a 75-66 loss.
Taylor Flores finished as the leading scorer for the Blossoms tallying 26 points in the game. Bailey Harris also contributed 15 points for UAM.

UAM will be back in action Saturday evening in Commerce, TX for a 5:00 p.m. contest against Texas A&M University - Commerce. They will still be in Jefferson City.
