LEADERBOARD
BROKEN ARROW, Okla. – After having to stop play early in day one, the Arkansas-Monticello women's golf team resumed play in Tulsa Cup on Tuesday afternoon at the Club at Forest Ridge in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. With the first round of the tournament being finished on day two, the event was shortened to 36 holes. UAM would come out of the tournament tied for seventh place as the women's fall season comes to a close.
Junior
Chiara Sturaro led the Blossoms in the tournament, closing out day two after shooting a 75 in the first round and an 81 in round two. She finished tied for 18th.
Gabriela Maldonado came out of the final round in 20th place after shooting a 77. She finished the first round of the tournament with an 80.
Worawalan Siwaiyapram finished the day tied for 34th place. She shot a 78 in round one and an 82 in her final round.
Kensley Miller closed out day two tied for 47th place with a first round 82 and a second round 81.
Getsemani Carlos Lopez finished the day in 85th place, shooting an 83 in her first round, followed by a 99 in round two.
Head Coach
Ken Hamilton had this to say about the tournament and the fall season:
"We played pretty good Monday and were excited to get after it today. Unfortunately we didn't have the start we needed and didn't finish well. It kind of mirrored the entire Fall season for us. We had good 1st rounds and didn't hold our position. It will have a negative impact on our Regional ranking for sure, which I hate, but we have good players and good young people. We will get better. We are committed to some very competitive events in the Spring so we certainly look forward to seeing what will happen."
