Box Score MONTICELLO, Ark. – Arkansas-Monticello fell in Monday afternoon's game to close out their Great American Conference series with Arkansas Tech University. The Blossoms lost the match, 6-1 and lose the series 2-1.
 
The Golden Suns put up six runs throughout the game. Dishing out out a run in the first, another in the fifth, and four in the sixth.

The Blossoms only scored one run on the day. Haley Cornell being responsible with a roped home run down the left field line.
 
Pitching Performances
Sam Stephens started the game, going 5.2 innings with six runs allowed on eight hits.
Averie Gunther entered in the top of the sixth, throwing a total of 1.1 scoreless, and hitless, innings.

The loss on the day drops Monticello to 12-12 on the season, with a 7-4 record in GAC play.

On Deck
The Blossoms return to the field on Saturday Feb. 19 to continue their series against UT-Tyler. The games are set to begin at 12:00 and 2:00 pm.
