Hot Springs, Ark. – The Arkansas-Monticello women's golf team closed out the 2022 Great American Conference Women's Golf Championship on Tuesday afternoon at the Hot Springs Country Club Golf Course in Hot Springs, Arkansas. UAM closed out the final round of the tournament tied for 5rd place.
Gabriela Maldonado led the Blossoms throughout the tournament, closing out the final round of the GAC tournament with a 7th place, individual finish. Throughout her three rounds played, she carded 13-over for the entirety of the event. After a solid 78 in the first round Maldonado improved to a 75 in the second and finished with a 76 in the third round.
Chiara Sturaro came out of the first round shooting an 81, but followed with a 76 in round 2 and 3. She finished the tournament tied for 11th.
Sheyna Akbary finished tied for 27th place. She shot an 82 in round 1, followed by an 83 in round 2 and an 81 in round 3.
Worawalan Siwaiyapram started out the tournament with a first round 81. She finished round 2 with an 84, and ended the third round with a 83. She finished tied for 31st.
Emilie Bergh-Jacobsen finished in 40th place, shooting an 89 in her first two rounds and an 88 in the third.
