Box Score SHAWNEE, Okla. – Arkansas-Monticello fell to the Oklahoma Baptist University Bisons in Game 3 of their GAC series. The Blossoms were only able to score 1 run compared to the 8 runs Oklahoma Baptist put up throughout the matches entirety, ultimately falling to OKBU, 8-1.

Oklahoma Baptist was the first team to strike in the match as they would score 3 runs in the bottom half of the second inning.

UAM found their only run of the game in the fourth inning when Maddie Pfleging drove a ball over the wall in left center field.

The Bisons found 3 more runs in the fifth inning, as well as 2 in the sixth inning to take an 8-1 lead over the Monticello team.

Pitching Performances
Sam Stephens started on the mound for the Blossoms, posting 2.0 innings on the day. Stephens gave up 3 runs on 4 hits to the Bisons in her outing.
Maddie Chalenburg tossed 2.2 innings on the mound for UAM, giving up 3 hits and 1 runs. She struck out 2 batters in her appearance.
Jamie Franks threw 0.1 inning of her own, allowing only 1 hit and 0 runs scored.
Kyann Woods finished out the last inning of the match, allowing 2 runs on 2 hits. She struck out 1 batter.

The loss on the day drops Arkansas-Monticello to 17-29 on the season and 11-18 in GAC play.

On Deck
The Blossoms return to the field on Friday, Apr. 29 as they travel to Southwestern Oklahoma State University for their final Great American Conference series of the year. The doubleheader is set to begin on Friday at 2:00 p.m.
