DURANT, Okla. – The University of Arkansas at Monticello Women's Basketball traveled to Durant, Oklahoma to take on Great American Conference member Southeastern Oklahoma State University on Saturday afternoon. The Blossoms came out of the contest with a 77-64 loss to the Savage Storm.

Bailey Harris led the way for Arkansas-Monticello (9-14, 6-11 GAC) on the night with 12 points. She shot for 4-15 on field goals, going 1-4 on three pointers and 3-4 from the free throw line throughout the match. She had a rebound contributed on top of a steal.

Southeastern (7-15, 5-12 GAC) was led by Caitlin Kobiske with an incredible 43 point performance.

The opening 10 minutes proved to be a neck and neck battle between the Blossoms and Savage Storm. The Blossoms were the first team to put points on the board in the game courtesy of a layup by Cyarah Kensmil. Southeastern responded with a 5-0 run to reclaim the lead. A three pointer from Laia Balcells gave UAM back the lead for a brief moment before SE made the final basket before the buzzer. Arkansas-Monticello would finish out the quarter going 6-14 on field goals, 2-7 on threes, and 1-1 on free throws. The two teams would head into the second quarter with Southeastern Oklahoma on top 16-15.

The second quarter proved to be the lowest squaring period of the match; once again go the Storm's way as they outscored the Blossoms 13 points to 9 throughout the second 10 minute period. UAM shot for 18.18% of their field goals throughout the second ten minutes, while the Storm would shoot for 28.5% in their performance. The teams would head to the locker rooms with Southeastern leading, 29-24.

Quarter three was won by the home team again, with the Storm outscoring the Blossoms 24 points to a close 21 points. The quarter would come to a close with Southeastern Oklahoma leading 53-45.

The final quarter of the game would once again go Southeastern's way, as the Storm scored 24 points compared to the Blossoms' 19. UAM was unable to chip away the Storm lead in the final ten minutes. The match would come to a close with a Blossom loss, falling to Southeastern Oklahoma, 77-64.

Arkansas-Monticello committed 12 turnovers in the entirety of the match.
