SEARCY, Ark. – The University of Arkansas at Monticello baseball team traveled to Searcy, Arkansas to take on in-state, Great American Conference member Harding University in a weekend series. The Weevils came out of the first game with a 15-5 loss, followed by a 5-1 loss in game two and a 10-0 loss to conclude the weekend.
With the 0-3 loss on the weekend, Arkansas-Monticello drops its GAC record to 6-6.
Game 1, 8 Innings
Harding: 15, Arkansas-Monticello: 5

Harding Universty took an early lead over UAM, scoring two runs in the second and another two in the third.
DeShaun Cordova tied the game up in the top of the fourth on a grand slam to right field.
The Bisons found four more runs between the fourth and fifth innings before Arkansas-Monticello could respong with a single run in the sixth when
Cade Thompson singled up the middle to bring home
Alex Austin.
A single run in the seventh and a 6-run eighth inning that ended in a walk-off walk would end the game with a 15-5 HU victory over UAM.

Harding University was on the board first in game two, putting up 4 runs in the bottom half of the second and a fifth in the fifth.
Arkansas-Monticello responded in the sixth when

Cade Thompson on a single to left field.
The game would come to an end with a 5-1 Weevil loss to the Bisons.

Scoring Recap:
The Bisons struck first in the bottom of the third, putting up four runs to take a 4-0 lead over the Weevils. Harding would go on to score six more runs throughout the ball game. They would score one in the fourth, four more in the fifth and a final run in the sixth before run ruling Arkansas-Monticello in the seventh.
The Weevils would drop game three with a final score of 10-0 to end the weekend.

- Derek Potts started on the mound in the first game of the weekend, totaling 4.2 innings pitched with 8 runs allowed, 6 hits and 2 strikeout on the day.

Lane Ladner made an appearance, throwing 1.1 inning. He came out of the appearance allowing only 3 hits and 0 runs.

Rigell Robinson got 1.0 inning of work, only allowing a single run on one hit. He struck out a batter as well.

- Connor Irvine started on the mound for the Weevils in game two, throwing a 6.0 innings with 5 runs allowed on 6 hits. He also tossed 8 strikeout on the day.

Mason Philley started on the bump for the Weevils in game 3, taking the loss with 2.0 innings of work. He allowed 1 run on 1 hit and had 4 strikeouts. His outing came to an end due to the prolonged rain delay.

River Hunt made an appearance, tossing 2.2 innings and allowing 8 runs on 6 hits. He also struck out 4 batters.
