ALVA, Okla. – The University of Arkansas at Monticello softball team traveled to Alva, Oklahoma for a doubleheader to open their Great American Conference game with Northwestern Oklahoma State University on Friday. The Blossoms came out of game one with a 3-2 win over the Lady Rangers, followed by a 11-1 run-rule in game two.

Scoring Recap:
Northwestern Oklahoma homered in the bottom of the fourth for the first run of the game.
Bailey Camp drove in two runs on a single ripped down the right field line, giving UAM their first lead of the game.
The Rangers responded with a single run in the bottom half of the inning to tie the game back at 2-2.
Arkansas-Monticello drove in the game winning run in the eighth inning on a SAC fly from
Bailey Camp.
NWOSU was unable to respond, resulting in a game one victory to the Blossoms.

Kennedy Cox Drove in the first two runs of the game for UAM on a home run to right center field, followed by a 2 RBI double from
Sophie Wood to give the Blossoms a 4-0 lead in the first.
Grace Neal tacked on another run in the second with a solo shot over the wall in left field.
NWOSU got one back in the bottom half of the second with a solo home run of their own.
Arkansas-Monticello grabbed a run in the fourth on a ground ball, followed by an RBI double from
Sophie Wood in the fifth and a grand slam in the sixth for
Grace Neal's second home run of the game.
The Lady Rangers were unable to respond, resulting in a 11-1 UAM victory in the sixth.
