MONTICELLO, Ark. - The University of Arkansas at Monticello Volleyball Program is excited to host the first ever Blossom Classic Tournament at Steelman Field House, sponsored by Monticello Coffee Company.

The Blossoms will hold the first ever volleyball tournament at UAM this weekend. The five team tournament will be held over Friday, Sep. 1st and Saturday, Sep. 2nd. The teams invited to compete in the invitational are: Truman State University, Northern State University, Maryville University, and Christian Brothers University. 

The first ever Blossoms Classic is hosted by Monticello Coffee Company. Monticello Coffee Company is a community oriented, independent coffee house, offering a convenient drive-thru, comfortable atmosphere, as well as top notch espresso, hand crafted lattes, cappuccinos, all made with their hand made syrups, specialty teas, and much more. Their hours of operation are Mon-Fri, 6 a.m. - 6p.m., Saturday 8 a.m. - 5 a.m., and closed on Sunday. 

TICKET / RAFFLE INFORMATION
• Tickets will be sold at the doors for $5 a day
• Raffle tickets to win prizes will be sold in the lobby of Steelman Field House for $5
• Tournament T-Shirts will also be sold in the lobby for $15

TOURNAMENT PREVIEW
After a long ten months, volleyball game days are finally returning to UAM. The Blossoms open the 2023 season against Truman State at 11:00 a.m. on Friday morning, followed by a 5:00 p.m. match against Northern State University. On Saturday, the Blossoms play Maryville University at 11:00 a.m., and close out the opening weekend at 5:00 p.m. against Christian Brothers University.

TOURNAMENT SCHEDULE
Over the weekend there will be 10 volleyball matches held at Steelman Field House between Friday and Saturday. The schedule will go as followed:

FRIDAY
9:00 AM - Christian Brothers vs. Maryville
11:00 AM - Truman State vs. Arkansas-Monticello
1:00 PM - Northern State vs. Maryville
3:00 PM - Christian Brothers vs. Truman State
5:00 PM - Northern State vs. Arkansas-Monticello

SATURDAY
9:00 AM - Truman State vs. Northern State
11:00 AM - Maryville vs. Arkansas-Monticello
1:00 PM - Northern State vs. Christian Brothers
3:00 PM - Maryville vs. Truman State
5:00 PM - Christian Brothers vs. Arkansas-Monticello

FREE PUBLIC PARKING
Parking will be available for attendees in the parking lot located behind the softball field, to the right of Steelman Filed House. This parking lot will be the primary place for parking for both days of the tournament. We especially ask for attendees to use this parking lot on Friday since classes will be in session. Saturday, there will be some parking spaces in front of Steelman available, as well as the rest of campus, but we still ask for the use of our primary parking lot.
