MONTICELLO, Ark. - Arkansas-Monticello Volleyball (4-15, 0-9) will hit the road for end-of-week conference action against Southeastern Oklahoma State University (8-11, 4-5) on Thursday at 6 p.m., followed by a Friday afternoon game at East Central University (12-9, 6-3) at 4 p.m.
"Definitely looking forward to playing this week," said Head Coach
Arlicia Ortiz.
"When the girls are confident & united, we play our best. This week's focus has definitely been that. Going into these games, the girls know what to do and how to play. We need to stay mentally tough and sound and we'll be okay."

Southeastern Oklahoma State University: Southeastern were the victors of the last meeting held in Monticello 4-0 (22-25, 18-25, 25-19, 11-25) on Oct. 6, 2023. UAM was led by outsider hitter
Jasmine Welton with 11 kills, setters
Bruna Silva and
Jordan Wehr combined for 26 assists, and defensive specialist
Stasha Adams with 23 digs. The Savage Storm held the Blossoms to a .014 hitting percentage on 34 kills, 30 assists, 69 digs, and 5 blocks. The Blossoms broke a four-game winning streak versus Southeastern with this loss.
East Central University: The Tigers won the last match-up, winning 3-0 (23-25, 16-25, 17-25) over Arkansas-Monticello in Steelman Fieldhouse on Oct. 5, 2023.
Abrielle Jordan led the Green and White with 10 kills, and
Bruna Silva and
Jordan Wehr each recorded 12 assists on the night.
Stasha Adams led the Blossoms defensively with 19 digs on the night. The Bulldogs held the Blossoms to a .017 hitting percentage on 27 kills, 24 assists, 53 digs, and 5 blocks. This match was the second straight 0-3 loss to the Tigers, the third since 2019 (not including the pandemic-shortened 2020 season).
All-TIME SERIES
Southeastern Oklahoma State University: The Savage Storm lead the all-time series 11-6, dating back to the first match on September 3, 2005. At home in Monticello, the Blossoms lead Southeastern 4-3 inside Steelman Fieldhouse, while on the road in Durant, Oklahoma the Blossoms are 2-4. The last victory for the Green and White against the Savage Storm came in 2022 in Durant when they won 3-2, which would be the ending to the longest win streak at four. Before the first win for the Blossoms in 2012 against the Savage Storm, UAM saw a six-game losing streak.
East Central University: The Blossoms lead in all-time wins, 9-7. UAM and East Central first met in the 2008-2010 seasons, meeting in three separate tournaments in Russellville. The Blossoms were members of the Gulf South Conference, while the Tigers were members of the Lone Star Conference. Arkansas-Monticello took all three season match-ups (3-2, 3-0, 3-0). The Tigers would take the first two Great American Conference meetings 3-0 in Monticello, Arkansas, and Ada, Oklahoma during the 2011 season. At home in Monticello the Blossoms are 4-3, while they have a 2-4 record on the road in Oklahoma. The last victory for the green and white came on Oct. 25, 2019, when UAM defeated East Central 3-0 inside Kerr Activities Center in Ada, Oklahoma.

- Mia Smalls recorded her fourth double-double (22 assists, 17 digs) of the season, the 17 digs were also a new season high.
- Jordan Wehr set a new career high with her 27 digs.

- Arkansas-Monticello is averaging 16.56 digs, 10.92 kills, 10.22 assists, 1.74 blocks, and 1.34 service aces in 73 sets played this season.
- Middle Blocker Abrielle Jordan ranks third on total blocks with 1.06% on 26 blocks saved, 46 assisted on 72 total attempts.
- Junior Mia Smalls ranks ninth in total assists with 427 through 71 sets played (6.01%), and tenth in serving aces with 24 (.34%).
