The Tigers began applying pressure and tied the game at 25-all with just under six minutes remaining on the clock. The half concluded with the teams tied at 36-36.

Champion Christian took control of the match to open the second half, leading the Boll Weevils for almost most of the period. UAM once again scored 33 points, outscoring the Tigers by six in the end to claim a victory. The game came to a close with a 66-60 victory for Monticello.
