Weevils Drop Final Road Trip to Southern Nazarene

BETHANY, Okla. - The University of Arkansas at Monticello football team traveled to Southern Nazarene University on Saturday afternoon. The contest concluded with a 24-21 loss for UAM.

Senior quarterback Demilon Brown gave UAM a 12-19 performance with 170 passing yards on the night. Brown was also the leading rusher for the Boll Weevils, running the ball for 79 net yards. Isaiah Cross was the leading receiver in the game, grabbing six receptions for 71 total yards, with the longest being 20 yards.

Defensively, Lawaun Powell stood above the rest, grabbing 11 total tackles, with five solo stops on the afternoon.

Dylan Duhon was 3-3 on PAT attempts.

Post Game
Boll Weevil Head Coach Hud Jackson had this to say after the game: "Can't win with 14 penalties. We average four per game and get 14 in one game. Crucial to the outcome of this game. Especially versus a team playing with a lot of confidence after a big win last week. Our guys will prepare hard this week to get ready for a good SAU team. Our seniors deserve to go out in a positive way and we will do everything in our power to give them that. All three phases of the game will need to be good to have a chance to win. Eat'em up!"
