CLINTON, Miss. – The University of Arkansas at Monticello softball team traveled to Clinton, Mississippi on Tuesday afternoon to play in a non-conference doubleheader against Mississippi College. The Blossoms left the doubleheader with two losses, dropping game one 6-0, followed by a 14-0 loss in game two.
Game 1, 7 Innings
Arkansas-Monticello: 0, Mississippi College: 6

Scoring Recap:
The first two innings of game one started off slow for both teams, but Mississippi College would be the first to score in the bottom of the third inning with a two run home run.
The Blossoms would continue to reach base through out the remainder of the game but would not be able to get anyone across the plate.
The Choctaws would claim game one 6-0 over the Blossoms.
Game 2, 5 Innings
Arkansas-Monticello: 0, Mississippi College: 14

Scoring Recap:
Game two went the same for Blossoms as they would once again get runners on base, but were unable to bring any across the plate.
The Choctaws would go on to score in every inning taking game two 14-0 over the Blossoms.
The losses on the day drop Arkansas-Monticello to a 10-9 record in the 2024 season.
