MONTICELLO, Ark. – The University of Arkansas at Monticello baseball team closed out their weekend series with Harding University on Monday afternoon. The Weevils came out with an 8-4 loss in game three to the Bisons, but take the series 2-1.

Brodie Romero brought the first run of the afternoon in the first, scoring
Chaz Poppy from first on a double down the right field line.
Chase Cripps followed with an RBI double of his own to left center. Romero scored from second on the play.
The Bisons got on the board in the fourth, scoring on a 2 RBI single to right. A home run in the fifth pushed Harding into a 4-2 lead. The Bisons would find two runs in the sixth and a run in the seventh, extending their lead to 7-2.
UAM found a stroke of life in the bottom half of the inning, seeing
Kirk Woolf bring home
Parker Dorrance.
A solo home run in the eighth gave Harding an 8-3 advantage.
Will Owens drove in
Cade Cancilla in the ninth, but the effort proved not enough, as no other Boll Weevil crossed the plate. UAM would drop the final game of the series, 8-4.
Today's game drops Arkansas-Monticello to a 11-9, 9-3 GAC record for the 2024 season.
