ARKADELPHIA, Ark. – Following their win on Friday, the University of Arkansas at Monticello baseball team closed out the weekend with a series loss to Ouachita Baptist University following the doubleheader on Saturday afternoon. The Weevils came out with a 10-2 loss in game one, followed by a 1-0 loss in game two against the Tigers.

Scoring Recap:
The Tigers were the first on the board in game one, scoring two runs in the second, two in the fourth, and two in the fifth to take a 6-0 lead.
Camden Tanner doubled to left center in the sixth, scoring
Chaz Poppy in the play, to give UAM their first offensive success of the afternoon.
Kirk Woolf brought home Tanner on a single up the middle to make it a 6-2 ball game.
Ouachita Baptist found four more runs in the seventh to push their lead to 10-2. UAM was unable to respond the rest of the game.
The loss ended the Boll Weevils 8-game win streak.

Arkansas-Monticello: 0, Ouachita Baptist: 1

Scoring Recap:
The loan run on the game cam in the third inning. Ouachita Baptist scored on a double down he right field line.
Monticello's offense had four hits on the game, but were unable to cross the plate.
The loss on the day gave UAM their first conference series loss of the year.
Today's games bring Arkansas-Monticello to a 9-7, 7-2 GAC record for the 2024 season.
