MONTICELLO, Ark. – The University of Arkansas at Monticello baseball team hosted Ouachita Baptist University in a non-conference doubleheader on Tuesday afternoon. After a 14-8 loss in game one, the Weevils closed out the doubleheader with a 7-6 walk-off win in game two.

OUA took the lead early again in game two, scoring the first run on an infield error and two more on a home run of the scoreboard in right center field.
Cade Cancilla drove in
Aidan Garrett for Monticello's first run in the bottom of the inning.
Back-to-back doubles gave the Tigers a fourth run in the second. Immediately after, a two run bomb pushed Ouachita to a 6-1 lead.
Noah Estrem gave the Weevils their first run of the second on an RBI single through the six-hole.
Aidan Garrett drove in both
Will Owens and
Noah Estrem on a single through the right side, followed by a SAC fly ball from Cancilla to make it a one run game.
Camden Tanner drove in
Roc Hawthorne from third on a ground ball to the first baseman in the fourth, tying the game at 6-6.
With the bases loaded in the eighth,
Logan Jones drove in the game-winning run for a 7-6 win over the Tigers.
The win in game two pushes Arkansas-Monticello to a 16-14, 12-6 GAC record for the 2024 season.
