ADA, Okla. – The University of Arkansas at Monticello softball team traveled to Ada, Oklahoma to open up their final conference series of the 2024 season against East Central University on Thursday afternoon. After a 6-3 win in game one of the doubleheader, the Blossoms dropped game two, 7-0.

Arkansas-Monticello: 6, East Central: 3

Scoring Recap:
The Tigers were the first on the board in game one, scoring two runs in the first and a third run in the fourth.
UAM scored six runs in the top of the fifth, seeing
Maggie Miller drive in
Courtnee Sensibaugh on a double to left, followed by an RBI single from
Adrianna Erichsen and a two RBI double to right center.
Grace Neal drove in the final two runs of the game on a home run to left field.
East Central was unable to respond, resulting in a 6-3 Blossom win.

Scoring Recap:
East Central was the only team to score in game two. The Tigers would post seven runs across the first, second, and fifth innings to eventually take a 7-0 shutout victory over the Blossoms.
The split on the day pushes Arkansas-Monticello to a 23-27,15-17 GAC record for the 2024 season.
