WARRENSBURG, Mo. – The University of Arkansas at Monticello baseball team is competing in the Super Regional for the first time in program history. UAM played game one of a best-of-3 series with Central Missouri on Friday and came out of the opener with an 11-6 loss to the Mules.

Scoring Recap:
Central Missouri was the first on the board in the weekend's opening game, scoring a single run in the third. The Mules extended their lead to 5-0 after driving in three more runs in the fourth and another in the fifth.
Roc Hawthorne gave Monticello its first run in the sixth, getting every bit of a ball launched over the right field wall.
Cade Cancilla brought home a second run on a SAC fly to left to cut at the UCM lead.
The Mules responded in the bottom half of the inning with six runs to push their lead to 11-2.
Chaz Poppy and
Kirk Woolf drove in the game's final runs, with Poppy driving a solo shot to left center and Woolf tacking on three runs on a home run to left.
The loss on the day puts Arkansas-Monticello in a must-win scenario for Saturday, dropping the Weevils' season record to 35-23.
