Southern Arkansas (9-8, 4-7 GAC) was led by Chloe Wilbanks with 20 points.

The Blossoms took the 1st quarter after a 3-pointer from Bailey Harris broke a 15-15 tie. The Muleriders took command of the game in the 2nd quarter after SAU benefited from multiple UAM fouls. The game would go into halftime tied 34-34, thanks in part to a last second 2 point jumper from Haleigh Crews

The Blossoms came out of the half with energy, yet it wouldn't last long as the Muleriders, took the lead and never looked back in the third quarter. An explosive fourth for the Blossoms saw the game get tied with 16 seconds on the clock, and a missed lay-up from SAU sent the game to overtime tied 59-59. Again it was a back-and-fourth battle as the clock wound down, with the score tied 66-66 in the final 19 seconds, SAU shot for two, leading to a Blossom 68-66 loss in overtime.

Arkansas-Monticello committed 17 turnovers in the entirety of the match.
