MONTICELLO, Ark. -- The University of Arkansas at Monticello Athletics Department is looking for photos of Boll Weevil and Cotton Blossom student-athletes throughout history.
With renovations to Steelman Fieldhouse underway, the UAM Athletics Department is excited to create a new archive of Athletics history. The goal of the project is to collect as many photos, score sheets, statistics, news articles, record books, rosters, and more. All of which will be available on a brand new touchscreen in the gym lobby.
UAM saw its first football season in 1911, when it played two games, and has seen 112 seasons in total since. Throughout the 114-year history of Arkansas-Monticello athletics, the University has competed in multiple sports, including NCAA sports in 2025 (Football, Volleyball, M/W Cross Country, M/W Basketball, M/W Golf, Baseball, and Softball).
There are also sports that UAM does not sponsor anymore, such as track and field (indoor and outdoor), but saw years of athletes compete and excel within the programs.
Any photos, roster sheets, stat sheets, news articles, and more can be emailed to Athletics@uamont.edu. Please include names, sport, and year in the subject line. Any other details should be included in the body of the email.
