2025 Arkansas-Monticello Blossoms Roster | GAC Volleyball
MONTICELLO, Ark. – The University of Arkansas at Monticello Blossoms volleyball team will close out its 2025 campaign Thursday, November 11, in Magnolia, Arkansas, taking on the Muleriders of Southern Arkansas University inside the W.T. Watson Athletic Center.


All-TIME SERIES
Southern Arkansas University -  This match is the 41st meeting between the Blossoms and the Muleriders. SAU holds a narrow lead, 21-19. Their last matchup was on October 2, 2025, in Monticello, with UAM dropping the contest in a 3-0 sweep (18-25, 17-25, 18-25). The Blossoms' last win came with a 3-2 victory, their seventh straight over SAU, on November 2, 2021, in Magnolia. At home, UAM leads 11-10. They trail 8-12 away. Their overall record is 19-22 in conference play.

LAST MEETING
Southern Arkansas University - Their last matchup was on October 2, 2025, in Monticello with UAM dropping the contest in a 3-0 sweep (18-25, 17-25, 18-25). The opening set began with Arkansas-Monticello and Southern Arkansas evenly matched, 14-14, as the Blossoms and Muleriders exchanged possession of leadership six times. SAU flipped the set in their favor, taking the lead by adding 11 points to UAM's 4, to win the first set, 25-18. The Blossoms and Muleriders exchanged points back-and-forth to start the second set tied 6-6. Southern Arkansas pulled ahead with a 6-0 rally; however, the Blossoms quickly responded with a 4-0 rally of their own to reclaim the lead, 14-13. SAU pushed forth, scoring 10 more points over the next 12 serves, eventually taking the set, 25-17.  The third set looked to be similar to the second, with the Blossoms only trailing by one after a back-and-forth rally. The Muleriders extended their lead, putting them into a 10-4 advantage. The Blossoms worked to cut the deficit to three points, but SAU would not relinquish control as they took the final set, 25-18, and the match, 3-0. UAM was held to a .068 hitting percentage on 55 digs, 24 assists, 4 blocks, 3 aces, and 25 kills.


BLOSSOMS BY THE NUMBERS

  • Arkansas-Monticello has played 75 sets this season, averaging a .084 hitting percentage. The team averages 16.45 digs, 9.32 kills, 8.55 assists, 1.17 blocks, and 1.28 service aces per set.

Leading UAM in double-doubles is Mia Smalls with 14, with one being a triple-double. The Lone Star native is the only member of the Great American Conference to hold a triple-double - earning the feat against Christian Brothers (9/20/25) with 10 kills, 13 assists, and 11 digs.


 BLOSSOM HIGHLIGHTS VERSUS HENDERSON STATE

  • Set one tied for the highest scoring set of the season, alongside set one of the UAM v Christian Brothers that also finished 30-28.
  • First match of the season to reach a decisive set five.
  • The match set the record for the following season highs for the Blossoms: kills - 55, assists - 51, digs - 93, total blocks - 9, points - 66.
  • Jalen Scroggins set a new season and career high in kills with her 17 in the match. She also set a new season and career high in blocks with her 6 on the night.
  • Sophia Grubbs set a new season and career high on kills with her 15 in the match.
  • Licia Echevarria set a new season high in digs with her 14 in the match.
  • Mia Smalls earned her 14th double-double by adding 40 assists and 17 digs on the night.
 

LAST TIME OUT THIS SEASON
The Blossoms fell just short of their first GAC win on Senior Night, Tuesday, November 11, in a heartbreaking 3-2 (30-28, 25-13, 26-24, 25-18, 15-10) loss to the Reddies of Henderson State University.
