MONTICELLO, Ark. – Coming off a 66-52 home opening game win, the University of Arkansas at Monticello Boll Weevils are looking to add another tally to the win column as they host the Buffaloes of Arkansas Baptist College on Thursday, November 20 inside Steelman Field House. The first home night game tip-off of the season is scheduled for 7:30 p.m.

*Due to current renovations to Steelman Field House there are changes in place for the 2025 season, those changes can be found below.*

LAST MEETING
Arkansas Baptist College - On November 19, 2024, the Weevils beat the Buffaloes by five points, 56-51, for their third straight win. The first half opened with a jumper from Noah Thomas to put the Boll Weevils ahead. The teams would see back-and-forth baskets, causing ten different lead changes throughout the twenty minutes. Delta State prevailed in the end, with both teams heading to the locker room with DSU leading 33-31. UAM tied the game up for a brief moment to open the second half, thanks to a jumper in the paint. Delta State reclaimed the lead and would hold it for the remainder of the game, eventually taking a 79-63 win over Monticello. Three Weevils put up double digits in the game, Alex Brogdon led Arkansas-Monticello with 12 points. Brogdon hit 5-6 field goals and 2-3 shots from the free-throw line while grabbing seven rebounds and dishing out an assist. Seth Grandberry was the second Weevil in double digits, posting 11 on the evening. Grandberry was 4-15 on field goals, 1-5 on threes, and 2-2 from the line. He also contributed two assists and a steal. Noah Thomas was the final UAM player with ten or more, scoring 10 points. Thomas shot for 4-5 field goals and 1-2 from both beyond the arc and the free-throw line. Thomas also grabbed three defensive rebounds, passed out three assists, and grabbed two steals.

ALL-TIME SERIES
Arkansas Baptist College - Thursday evenings meeting will mark the 32nd game between UAM and ABC, with the Weevils leading the way with a 27-4 record that dates back to November 1983. Between November 30, 1983 and December 13, 1991, the Weevils won 15 straight games with the Buffaloes, with the December 13 meeting holding the record as the largest margin of victory, a 134-80 win.

LAST TIME OUT THIS SEASON
The Weevils hung onto a dominant lead over the Warriors of Hendrix College to win their 2025-26 home opener during the annual Billie Ball game 87-57, on Tuesday, November 18.


ENTRANCE, RESTROOMS AND CONCESSIONS CHANGES

  • Due to current renovations to Steelman Field House, the following have been changed:
    • The entrance for the 2025 season will be on the west side of Steelman next to the football field. Fans who want to sit behind the teams are encouraged to arrive prior to tip-off, to avoid interfering with the game.
    • Portable bathrooms for all fans are on the opposite side of the Steelman next to the baseball field.
    • There will be no concessions available for home matches, and outside food and drinks will not be allowed into the gym.
