MONTICELLO, Ark. - The University of Arkansas at Monticello women's basketball team hosted the Lady Bisons of Harding University on Thursday evening inside Steelman Fieldhouse for the final home GAC match of the season. The Cotton Blossoms fell to the Lady Bison, 89-75.
Following the game, UAM Athletics and the Women's Basketball team honored our graduating seniors:
Bailey Harris,
Ella Mask,
Kelsey Blakemore, and
Haleigh Crews.
The loss tonight dropped the Blossoms to 11-16Â on the season and 6-15 in GAC play.
Senior
Bailey Harris led the way for Arkansas-Monticello (11-16, 6-15 GAC) with a career-high 28 points on the evening. Harris was 10-21 on total field goals, going 4-7 from distance. She was also 4-6 from the free throw line while contributing four rebounds and a steal in her 36 minutes on the court.
Camille Pritchard followed behind in double-digits, posting 12 points of her own. Pritchard hit 5-11 field goals and 2-5 three-pointers while grabbing one rebound, one assist, and one steal.
Alindsey Long was the other Blossom in double-digits, scoring 11 points on the evening. Long went 4-8 on field goals and 3-4 on free throws with three rebounds, one assist, one block, and two steals.
Harding (21-6, 17-4 GAC) was led by
 Sage Hawley with 26 points.
The opening quarter of the game was completely dominated by Harding, outscoring the Blossoms 26-13. UAM's offense found some momentum in the second quarter, posting 18 points to the Lady Bison's 19. The teams were sent to the locker rooms at the half with Harding leading 45-31.
Harding continued its offensive push in the third quarter, once again outscoring the Blossoms 30-17. The Blossoms bounced back in the final quarter, their highest-scoring quarter, with 27 points compared to Harding's 14. The Blossoms fought hard, but unfortunately, the Lady Bison would take the match by 14, 89-75.Â
Arkansas-Monticello committed 8
 turnovers in the entirety of the match.

The Blossoms will take the court for the final GAC regular season game on Saturday, March 1, as they travel to Arkadelphia, Arkansas to take on the Tigers of Ouachita Baptist University. Tip-off is scheduled for 1:00 p.m.
