ADA, Okla. - The University of Arkansas at Monticello Women's Basketball team traveled to Ada, Oklahoma to take on Great American Conference member East Central University inside the Kerr Activities Center on Saturday afternoon. The Blossoms came out of the contest with a 68-39 loss to the Tigers.
Kennedee Shelton,
Camille Pritchard, and
Alindsey Long were the leading scorers for UAM, posting seven points each. Shelton was 2-5 on field goals, hitting 1-2 threes and 2-2 free throws while grabbing two rebounds. Pritchard hit a three and four free throws on the day. She grabbed three rebounds and one steal in the match-up. Long was 3-6 with a three in her 28 minutes. She had three rebounds and an assist against the Tigers.

The Tiger offense primarily led the opening quarter, striking first to take a quick 5-0 lead. The Blossoms struggled to keep up with the Tiger offense, getting outscored 24-5 in the first quarter. ECU extended their lead, outscoring UAM 11-9 in the second quarter. The teams were sent to the locker rooms at the half with East Central leading 35-14.
The Blossoms bounced back in the third quarter, their highest-scoring quarter, with 14 points compared to East Central's 17. The Tiger offense pushed forth again, outscoring UAM 16-11 in the fourth quarter, to conclude the game with a 68-39 loss for the Blossoms.
