GREENEVILLE, Tenn. - The University of Arkansas at Monticello women's golf team finished fifth in the
Agnes McAmis Memorial tournament Tuesday, with a combined score of 638 (+70) after two rounds. The 36-hole tournament, hosted by Tusculum University, took place at the Link Hills Country Club in Greeneville, Tennessee.
Leading for the Blossoms were freshman
Renata Abad and sophomore
Natalie Van Dort who both finished tied for eighth with a final combined score of 153 (+11). Abad (competing individually) carded a second-round score of 3-over par (74), while Van Dort penciled a 75 (+4).
Tying for 11th with a final carded score of 12-over par (154) was senior
Shehna Akbary who in the final round tallied a 77 (+6).
Freshman
Tori Milton was next up for UAM, after shooting an 11-over par (82), finished tied for 13th with a combined score of 15-over par (157).
Competing individually freshman
Cadee Glasgow finished tied for 35th, with a 36-hole total of 168 (+26), after penciling an 83 (+12) in the second round of 18.
Junior
Robbi Jo Freeman shot an 84 (+13) in the final round to leave her in 44th place in the tournament with a two-round final carding of 32-over par (174).
Rounding out the scoring for the Blossoms was
Ximena Paz who shot a combined total of 181 (+39), by penciling a 14-over par (85) in the last round of the memorial tournament.
Next Up: The Blossoms continue their spring season on Monday, March 31, and Tuesday, April 1 at the Bayou Desiard Country Club in Monroe, Louisiana as they compete in the University of Louisiana's Women's Invitational.
