Alva, Okla. - The University of Arkansas at Monticello softball team suffered a 1-2 series loss to the Lady Rangers of Northwestern Oklahoma State University on Saturday afternoon. The Blossoms mounted a late rally in the seventh inning, but fell, 6-5 in the end.

Scoring Recap:
Northwestern was once again the first on the board scoring a run off a triple in the bottom of the fourth. This was followed by an unearned run in the fifth off a single up the middle, taking a 2-0 lead.
The Blossoms tied the game, 2 all, in the sixth as
Cada Collins tripled to right field to bring in
Kammie Walker and
Jade Keaton.
A run was plated home off a single to right field in the bottom of the inning for Lady Rangers allowing them to take the lead once more.
UAM mounted a rally to take the lead scoring three runs.
Dacia Sexton started the rally by coming in off a single from
Kylie Bonicelli, and Bonicelli and
Jadyn Hart would round home off a single from Collins.
Not going out quietly, the Lady Rangers would take the ball game, 6-5, after a double that crossed two home and a bases-loaded walk bringing in the final run.
Pitching Performance:

Makenzie Martin started on the mound for the Blossoms pitching 5.1 innings, allowing three runs on seven hits and striking out five.

Jadyn Barger would be called to pitch for UAM. In her 0.2 innings on the mound, she allowed two hits and two runs.

Ronnie Johnson would close the game for Arkansas-Monticello, allowing one run on two hits.
