MONTICELLO, Ark. – The Arkansas-Monticello baseball team hosted another non-conference midweek game on Tuesday at Weevils Field at Union Bank Park. UAM came out of the midweek contest with a 10-5 victory over rival Southern Arkansas.

Justin Santoyo got UAM on the board in the first, driving in Camden Tanner on a sacrifice fly to center field.
Southern Arkansas put up one run in the top of the second, but were met with three Boll Weevil runs in the bottom half of the inning. Kirk Woolf drove in two on a triple to right center field, followed by an RBI single from Camden Tanner.
The Mulerider scored two in the fourth on two separate ground balls.
UAM posted six runs between the fifth, sixth, and seventh innings. Elijah Nichols brought home three runs on a bases-loaded double to right center in the fifth. Justin Santoyo plated two runs on a home run over the scoreboard in right-center in the sixth. Roc Hawthorne drove in the 10th run in the seventh on a single through the four-hole.
SAU scored one run in the eighth, and another in the ninth, but saw the effort fall short as UAM concluded the game with a 10-5 win over the rival Muleriders.
Pitching Performances
- Tyler Bribiescas started on the bump for UAM, throwing 3.2 innings with three runs allowed on three hits. He struck out three batters.
- John White saw one batter in the fourth, getting the third out in two pitches to close the inning.
- Dylan Vail got the win on the evening, tossing 1.0 inning with one strikeout and no hits or runs allowed.
- Nathan McManus saw 2.0 innings of work, allowing no hits or runs with three strikeouts.
- Aiden McGee threw 1.0 inning on the day. He allowed one run on two huts.
- Adam Armstrong closed out the final inning, allowing one run on one hit with a strikeout.
