ARKADELPHIA, Ark. - The University of Arkansas at Monticello baseball team trekked to Arkadelphia on Tuesday afternoon for a non-conference meeting with the Tigers of Ouachita Baptist University. The meeting went in the Boll Weevils' favor as they left Rab Rodgers field with a 7-3 victory.

Scoring Recap:
The Boll Weevils came out swing scoring two runs in the first inning as Kirk Woolf scored on a single from Camden Tanner, and a single from Elijah Nichols brought in Chaz Poppy.

The Tigers struck back in the bottom of the first adding three runs. These would be the only runs Arkansas-Monticello would allow for the remainder of the game.

UAM retook the lead and never looked back adding two runs in the second as Woolf homered to bring in Brodie Romero. Woolf would help add the fifth run in the fourth doubling to round Kyle Tolley, before finding himself coming home off an OBU fielders choice.

The final run for the Boll Weevils crossed in the sixth as Poppy found his way in off a sacrifice fly.

The Tigers could not produce any more runs in the ninth, securing a 7-3 victory for UAM.

Pitching Performances
- Vincent Segovia started on the mound for the Boll Weevils, pitching 1.0 inning allowing three runs on three hits.
- Bryce Louis entered to pitch 2.0 innings, allowing only two hits while striking out two batters to earn the win on the mound.
- Ryan Mesaris was next out of the bullpen for UAM, pitching 2.0 innings allowing just two hits while striking out one.
- John White saw action in the sixth inning, he faced four batters and allowed just two hits, in his 2.0 innings of relief.
- Nathan McManus got called to pitch for Arkansas-Monticello, in his 1.1 innings he faced five batters allowing just one hit.
- Aiden McGee was summoned from the bullpen to pitch in the bottom of the eighth, allowing one hit while striking out one batter, in his 1.0 innings.
- Ruben Macias found himself on the mound in the ninth and faced two batters.
- Nelson Mercado got the call to enter the game, striking out one batter of the four he faced, earning the save.

The Boll Weevils are set to head to Ada, Oklahoma for the next GAC series, taking on the Tigers of East Central University inside Ken Turner Field on Thursday, April 17, and Friday, April 18. Thursday's single game will see a 2:00 p.m. first pitch, followed by a doubleheader on Friday.
