MONTICELLO, Ark. - The University of Arkansas at Monticello softball team is set to host the Tigers of East Central University at Alvy Early Field at Ryburn Park for a trio of games in conjunction with our 2025 senior weekend for our Blossoms. The series will kick off on Thursday, April 17 with a doubleheader starting at 2:00 p.m., followed by a Friday, April 18 matinee game at noon.  

SENIOR DAY FESTIVITIES ON APRIL 18
Senior Day Game - The senior day game will take place on Friday with a noon first pitch.
Senior Recognition - Upon the conclusion of the final series game with the Tigers, the Blossoms and UAM Athletics will honor our 4 seniors on Alvy Early Field. (A separate live stream of the event will start upon the completion of the senior day game.)

LAST MEETING
East Central University -  The Cotton Blossoms fell in the last series meeting 1-2 (6-3, 0-7, 0-3) to the Tigers. The Tigers were the first on the board in game one, scoring two runs in the first and a third run in the fourth. UAM scored six runs in the top of the fifth, seeing Maggie Miller drive in Courtnee Sensibaugh on a double to left, followed by an RBI single from Adrianna Erichsen and a two-RBI double to right center. Grace Neal drove in the final two runs of the game on a home run to left field. East Central was unable to respond, resulting in a 6-3 Blossom win. East Central was the only team to score in game two. The Tigers would post seven runs across the first, second, and fifth innings to eventually take a 7-0 shutout victory over the Blossoms. Game three of the series saw the Tigers jump ahead early in the first, scoring a single run in the inning. East Central would find two more runs in the fourth on a pair of RBI singles to increase their lead to 3-0. Kyann Woods was the sole winner of the series for the Blossoms.

LAST TIME OUT FOR THE BLOSSOMS
The Blossoms took on the Muleriders of Southern Arkansas University Tuesday, April 15 in a doubleheader, falling in both 8-0 and 3-1.
