MAGNOLIA, Ark. - The Arkansas-Monticello baseball team closed out its 2025 regular season on Saturday in Magnolia, Arkansas, in game three of the series with the Muleriders of Southern Arkansas. UAM rocketed ahead early and held the lead for the remainder of the game, resulting in a 9-5 win to take the series.

Scoring Recap:
Arkansas-Monticello was on the board first, scoring seven runs in the second to take the early lead. Will Owens kicked off the rally with a two-RBI single to right, bringing home Aidan Garrett and Elijah Nichols on the play. Roc Hawthorne plated the third run on a single to left, followed by a grand slam from Chaz Poppy to make it a 7-0 ball game.

Kyle Tolley launched a two-run bomb in the top of the sixth to increase the UAM lead to 9-0.

The Muleriders put five runs up in the bottom of the sixth, but the effort would prove not enough. The game concluded with a 9-5 win for UAM and a 2-1 series win on rival weekend to close the regular season.
 

Pitching Performances
- Tyler Bribiescas started on the mound for UAM, throwing 5.0 innings with three runs allowed on six hits. He struck out three batters.
- Nathan McManus tossed 0.1 innings, allowing two runs on one hit.
- Trey Miller went 1.0 inning for the Weevils, giving up no runs and one hit.
- Nelson Mercado closed the final 3.0 innings with no runs allowed and no hits. He struck out four batters in his outing.

- Chaz Poppy - 2-for-4 with a home run, 4 RBI, 1 run scored, and 1 walk
- Will Owens - 2-for-3 with a double, 2 RBI, 2 runs scored, and 1 walk
