MONTICELLO, Ark. – The University of Arkansas at Monticello football team will travel up the road to Russellville, Arkansas, on Saturday to take on Arkansas Tech University. The campaign will be the fourth match-up of the season for the Boll Weevils.
The Boll Weevils head into the weekend after a tough loss to in-state foe Henderson State in week three, where they dropped the contest 48-18. UAM currently holds a 0-3 record for the first time since 2015, when they lost games to Northwestern Oklahoma State, Southwestern Oklahoma State, and this weekend's opponent, Arkansas Tech, to open the season.
The 2025 season is the 14th season under the helm of Head Coach
Hud Jackson, who first led UAM in the 2011 season, which marked the program's first year in the Great American Conference.
"For us to have success, we gotta be consistent for four quarters," said veteran Head Coach
Hud Jackson.
"We have to play 60 minutes of football to be competitive and have a chance to win the game. This is a huge game for our program, this team, coaches, and all of our support staff."

TICKETS
*Tickets must be purchased online or through the HomeTown Ticketing Fan app to attend ATU sporting events. Walk-up online ticket purchases can be made by scanning a QR code at the venue and purchasing tickets using your mobile phone/HomeTown Ticketing Fan app. Cash and credit card will not be accepted. Chasden Collins are the top targets in the receiving game for UAM, with Cox totaling 191 yards on eight receptions and Collins totaling 95 yards on seven receptions.

Arkansas-Monticello beat Arkansas Tech 24-13 at home in the 2024 season. The Boll Weevils posted 258 yards of total offense in the contest. Senior quarterback
Demilon Brown led the air attack, connecting with five different receivers on 14 total completions for 25 passing yards. Brown also led the rushing game with 204 total net yards on 20 attempts, averaging 10.2 yards per carry and a long of 58. The UAM defense was led by
Robert Jones and
Robert Iverson Jr., who saw a combined 21 total tackles. Jones grabbed 8 total with three assisted tackles and five solo, while Iverson Jr. grabbed six solo and seven assists with one sack for a loss seven yards.
All-TIME SERIES
UAM trails the all-time series, 47-31, with the last win for the Boll Weevils in 2024. The away contest concluded with a 13-25-2 win. The largest margin of victory for the Weevils came during the 2013 season with a 34-0 win. The Weevils average 18.32 points against the Golden Suns.
