UAM vs. ASU
FIRST SET (13-25 ASU, ASU leads 0-1)
The Grizzlies were out to a strong start in the opening set, scoring the Blossoms 1-5, though two errors from ASU and a UAM kill would cut the deficit to three, 4-7. Arkansas-Monticello could not find its rhythm, allowing the Grizzlies to score seven straight. The Blossoms only put up nine more points to ASU's 12, dropping the first set 13-25.
SECOND SET (15-25 ASU, ASU leads 0-2)
Set two of the match looked to be a repeat of the first, when Adams State took a commanding 7-3 lead. The Blossoms started a back-and-forth rally with the Grizzlies to make it a 10-8 match in favor of ASU. Down 14-18, UAM would surrender seven more points off six kills and a serving ace, giving the second set to Adams State and falling behind in the set count, 0-2.
THIRD SET (16-25 ASU, ASU wins 0-3)
In the final set with Adams State, the Blossoms once again started the match behind a quick Grizzle defense, 7-4. UAM would bring the set to a manageable 9-12, but only mustard to earn three points to ASU's 13 over the next 16 serves, 22-11. With the Grizzlies ready to serve match point, UAM would stall them to add four more points to the board, yet an ASU kill would end the set and match, 25-15 and 0-3 in favor of Adams State.
UAM vs. ASU LEADERS
UAM vs. UTPB
FIRST SET (24-26 UTPB, UTPB leads 0-1)
The Blossoms experienced an impressive outing in the first set against UTPB, setting the stage for an exciting match. Despite the Falcons taking the first point, the Blossoms proved to be unstoppable as they opened the set 11-6. UTPB cut the lead to just one, 11-10, off two attack errors and kills. The remainder of the set was a duel as both teams were hot on defense, bringing the match to a 24-24 tie. The Falcons would take set one 24-26, killing the possible first set one win of the season for the Blossoms.
SECOND SET (13-25 UTPB , UTPB leads 0-2)
The second set of the night turned in favor of the Falcons early, who took a 1-7 lead out of the gate. The Blossoms added points to the scoreboard to cut the UTPB lead to just 5, 10-15, yet it was not enough to hold the Falcons back. The claws were dug deeper into the Blossoms, as they allowed a 4-0 rally and a 5-0 rally from UTPB to make it a 13-24 set. One more point would be given to UAM off an attack error, but the Falcons would take set two, 25-13.
THIRD SET (20-25 UTPB, UTPB wins 0-3)
Needing to win set three to claim the first set win of the invitational, the Blossoms quickly took a 9-6 lead over UTPB. The Falcons showed they weren't going to allow it as they scored four consecutive points to pull the set in their favor, 9-10. The Blossoms are not going out without a fight, recorded 4 unanswered points themselves to make it, 16-14, UAM. Disaster soon struck, and the hope of a set win started to fall out of sight when UTPB went 8-0 over Arkansas-Monticello, taking the lead for the last time 22-16. The Blossoms only added another four points to the board. Dropping the final set and the match, 20-25 and 0-3.

2025 KATHLEEN BRASFIELD ALL-TOURNAMENT TEAM SELECTION
FROM HEAD COACH ARLICIA ORTIZ
"This weekend we were able to see a lot of where we want to be. Tempo, aggression, discipline. Everyone got to see the floor & at some point or another & feel that on court pressure. I'm proud of our moments where we rose to the level of game play we were seeing & I look forward to the girls growing more & more in their confidence in themselves. The practice plan is drawn up for Monday & we're ready to hit the road to Dallas."
