MONTICELLO, Ark. – The University of Arkansas at Monticello Boll Weevil basketball team is set to hit the road to Oklahoma for their first travel slate to the Sooner State of the 2026 season. The Weevils will start the week in Ada, Oklahoma, with an evening pairing with the Tigers of East Central University at 7:30 p.m. in the Kerr Activities Center, before traveling southeast to Southeastern Oklahoma State University for an afternoon match-up with the Savage Storm at 3:00 inside the Bloomer Sullivan Arena.

LAST MEETING
East Central University - The Weevils fell to the Tigers in the last meeting, 66-76, in Ada. The first half of the game was an intense back-and-forth between the teams. The opening 20 minutes eventually came to a close with a pair of free throws from Seth Grandberry, sending both teams to the locker room with Arkansas-Monticello on top, 37-35. The Weevils fought hard to retain their lead, but the Tiger offense found their stride in the second half of the game, outscoring the Weevils 41-29. The game would conclude with a 76-66 loss for UAM. Leading Arkansas-Monticello was Devin Davis with 19 points on the afternoon. Davis hit 8-15 field goals, 2-3 three-pointers, and 1-2 free throws while grabbing six rebounds, two assists, and a steal. Seth Grandberry followed close behind in double-digits, scoring 18 on the afternoon. Grandberry was 4-11 on field goals, 4-7 on threes, and 6-6 on free throws with five rebounds and an assist. Harouna Sissoko was the final Boll Weevil in the double-digits with 12 points of his own. Sissoko was 4-4 on field goals, 1-1 on three-pointers, and 3-5 on free throws with five rebounds, two assists, and two blocks. Arkansas-Monticello committed 10 turnovers in the entirety of the match.

Southeastern Oklahoma State University - Arkansas-Monticello fell to the Savage Storm 57-71 the last time these two teams met on the court. The first half was won by the Savage Storm, as the Southeastern offense proved much more efficient in the opening 20 minutes. The Storm was 14-29 on shots (48.28%) and 9-18 (50%) from range in the half, compared to Monticello's 9-28 (32.14%). The teams would head to the locker room with UAM trailing 40-22. UAM found success in the second half, outscoring the Storm, 35 points to 31. Unfortunately, the effort proved not enough, as the final buzzer rang and the game concluded with a 71-57 loss to Southeastern for Arkansas-Monticello. Seth Grandberry once again led Arkansas-Monticello with 16 points on the evening. Grandberry was 7-17 on field goals, with 1-6 shots falling from beyond the arc, and1-1 from the free throw line. He also contributed a team-leading eight defensive rebounds, two assists, and a steal in his 40 minutes. Tadarius Jacobs and Charles Temple were the other Boll Weevils in double-digits, scoring 14 and 12, respectively. Jacobs was 6-12 on field goals and 2-5 from range. He also grabbed seven defensive rebounds, had three steals, blocked one shot, and dished out an assist. Temple went 5-9 on total shots in his performance, hitting a three-pointer and one of two shots from the line. He also gave UAM an assist, a block, and a steal. Arkansas-Monticello committed seven turnovers in the entirety of the match.

ALL-TIME SERIES
East Central University - The Boll Weevils hold a four-game advantage over the Tigers, 16-12, which dates back to the first-ever meeting in January 2012, a 75-69 win. This win would be the first of five straight that the Weevils had over ECU between January 21, 2012, and January 2, 2014. The men in green and white stand at an 8-5 home, 7-6 away, 15-11 conference record. Through 28 games played, the Weevils have combined for 2,129 points, averaging 76.04.

Southeastern Oklahoma State University - Arkansas-Monticello trails the Savage Storm in the overall record, 11-20. The first time these two squads faced off was in March of 1986, and the Boll Weevils came out of the contest on top 67-61. The Weevils' largest margin of victory came in March of 2021, a 96-63 win at Steelman Field House. At home, the Weevils are 7-7, on the road 2-11, and in overall conference play, 8-19. Through 31 games played, the Weevils have placed 2,137 points on the scoreboard, averaging 68.94 points per game.
