MONTICELLO, Ark. - The University of Arkansas at Monticello softball team continues pre-conference action this upcoming Friday, February 13 and Saturday, February 14 at the D2 Cherokee Nation Softball Festival in Tahlequah, Oklahoma, hosted by the city of Tahlequah. The Blossoms will play two twin bill days of softball, starting with Northeastern State Riverhawks and Bronchos of Central Oklahoma on Friday at 1:30 and 4:00 p.m. respectively. The ladies in green and white will conclude the weekend with another twin bill day on Saturday, February 14 taking on the Lions of Missouri Southern at 11:00 a.m. and the Tigers of Fort Hays State at 1:30 p.m.

LAST MEETING | ALL-TIME SERIES
Northeastern State - The Blossoms fell the last time out against the Riverhawks, 0-4. After a completely scoreless four innings, Northeastern State scored all four of their runs in the fifth. The Blossoms were unable to respond to the RiverHawks. | The all-time series is led by Northeastern State 5-7; the Blossoms' have played all of their games against the Riverhawks at neutral locations except three, first meeting which was played at home in 1997, a 6-8 loss for UAM, and a twin bill split in Tahlequah. Through 12 games played Arkansas-Monticello has plated 57 runs home, avergaing 4.75 runs per game.

No. 7 University of Central Oklahoma -  The ladies in green and white bested the mighty Bronchos the last time out 7-4. Arkansas-Monticello was on the board first, scoring one run off a single from Ronnie Johnson in the second. Central Oklahoma responded with two runs of their own in the third off a double to left center and a single up the middle. The Blossoms pulled ahead by one, 3-2, as Ashlynne Vote plated Makenzie Martin and Cada Collins off a double in the third, followed by a sacrifice fly from Carleigh Deeds to bring home Vote. Martin drove in Dacia Sexton on a single in the fourth, followed by Ayrland Jiles scoring on a passed ball to put UAM up 6-2. The Blossoms etched another run in the fifth as Jade Keaton scored off a bases-loaded walk. The Bronchos would score the remaining two runs of the ball game in the sixth, as the two runs would be brought in off a home run to center field. The game would conclude with a 7-4 win for the Blossoms. | Having this victory as the sole victory Arkansas-Monticello leads in the all time series, 1-0.

No. 17 Missouri Southern - The ladies in green and white suffered teh setback on the field in the meeting with the Lions, 1-6. Missouri Southern was the first team on the board, capitalizing on Blossom errors to score four in the third. The Lions added a fifth run to their lead in the fourth, followed by a sixth run in the top of the sixth. Makenzie Martin drove in Lainey Tippen in the bottom of the seventh for UAM's lone run. Monticello was unable to overcome the Lion lead, resulting in a 6-1 loss. | The Cotton Blossoms are currently 11-7 all-time against the Lions, with all but one match taking place at neutral sites. At home, the Blossoms are 1-0, at neutral games, they are, 10-7. The first meeting occurred on February 22, 2002, with a 4-0 victory for UAM. Through 18 games played the Blossoms have 108 runs on the Lions, averaging 6 runs per game. 

Fort Hays State University - The Blossoms were victorious in their last match up with the Tigers, beating Fort Hays 3-1. Jordan Herbner scored from third base on a passed ball in the first inning. Haley Godeaux hit a doubled down the left field line in the fourth, getting her 2 RBIs. Jordan Herbner and Sierra Gasca score off of Godeaux's hit. | The all-time series is spilt 3-3 with the Tigers taking the first three games, and the Blossoms securing the wins in the last three. The largest margin of victory for Blossoms came via 3-1 decision- set twice in a row. UAM has plated 14 runs through six games averaging 2.33 per game.

LAST TIME OUT FOR THE BLOSSOMS
Arkansas-Monticello went 2-2 at the Alvy Early Memorial Classic. On Friday the 6th of February, the Blossoms beat Truman State, 4-3, and Southwest Baptist, 4-1 (9 innings), before dropping two on Saturday, 7th of February, 5-0 to Missouri S&T and 5-4 to Drury University. The remaining two games of the weekend were cancelled due to sickness and injury.
