MONTICELLO, Ark. - University of Arkansas at Monticello Faculty Athletic Representative, Becky Phillips, received the 2026 UAM Educator of the Year Award from the Monticello-Drew County Chamber of Commerce.

Becky Phillips has served as UAM's Faculty Athletic Representative for over a decade, after taking on the role in the Fall of 2014.

Phillips, an associate professor of accounting for the UAM School of Business, began teaching at UAM in 2007 after serving as a certified public accountant and chartered global manufacturing accountant for PE Barnes Lumber Company in Hamburg and Maxwell Hardwood Flooring in Monticello.

She has also shown huge support for athletics by serving as a co-advisor of the UAM Student-Athlete Advisory Committee.
