MONTICELLO, Ark. - The Arkansas-Monticello Boll Weevils basketball team welcomed the Tigers of Ouachita Baptist to Steelman Field House on Saturday Afternoon for Senior Day and the last GAC game of the season. The Senior Day game would conclude with a 75-58 loss for UAM.

Before tip-off, UAM Athletics and the Weevils Basketball team honored our 2025-26 seniors, Tyler Webb, Issac Jackson, Lamont Jackson, Jakob Zenon, and Giancarlo Valdez. 

Ashton Price led Arkansas-Monticello (10-18,6-16 GAC) throughout the final game of the season, posting 19 points. Price was 5-9 on total field goals, with two three-pointers and 7 free throws. He also grabbed eight rebounds, with three assists, one steal, and one block.

Seniors Isaac Jackson and Jakob Zenon were the other two Boll Weevils with double-digits, scoring 12 and 11 points, respectively. Jackson was 6-16 on field goals while grabbing five rebounds. Zenon hit four field goals, with three three-pointers on the night. He also had two rebounds, one assist, and a steal.

Ouachita Baptist (22-6,18-4 GAC) was led by Christian Parks with 23 points.

The opening half proved to be a back-and-forth battle between the two teams for the majority of the period, seeing seven lead changes throughout the 20 minutes. UAM shot for 35.71% compared to the Tigers' 42.86%. An 11-0 run from Ouachita Baptist in the final 3:27 of the half sent the teams to the locker rooms with UAM trailing 37-29.

The Tigers of Ouachita Baptist once again won the second 20-minute period. UAM came within one point in the second, but was unable to stop the Tiger offense. The contest ended with a 75-58 loss for UAM, closing the season.

Arkansas-Monticello committed 12 turnovers in the entirety of the match.
