MONTICELLO, Ark. -- The University of Arkansas at Monticello Boll Weevils returned to Weevils Field at Union Bank Park on Friday evening for a game under the lights with the Bisons of Harding University. The Weevils came out of the series opener with an 11-9 loss to the Bisons.

Scoring Recap:
Harding kicked off the scoring in the series opener with a two-run home run in the top of the third. Daniel Lizarraga responded for UAM with a three-run home run of his own in the bottom of the inning, scoring Camden Tanner and Gabe Kuttenkuler on the drive.

The Bisons put up seven runs in the fourth inning, taking a 9-3 lead over Arkansas-Monticello.

Kyle Tolley drove in two runs in the sixth on a triple to right field. After scoring Caden Carney on the drive, Tolley also scored after a throwing error from the Harding infield on the same play.

Harding grabbed a 10th run in the seventh, but saw Tolley drive in two more in the eighth on an RBI single. The play shrank the HU lead to 10-7.

After the Bisons scored their 11th run in the top of the ninth, UAM saw two runs score in the bottom of the inning. Camden Tanner drove in the first on a solo shot to center field, followed by an RBI double to center field from Jackson Riedling. The game would conclude with an 11-9 loss for the Boll Weevils.

Pitching Performances:
- Hunter Heath started on the mound for UAM, going 3.2 innings with 7 earned runs on 4 hits. He struck out 5 batters and walked 4.
- Alberto Oropeza took over in the fourth, going 1.1 innings with 2 earned runs on 2 hits. He struck out 2 batters and walked 2.
- Aiden McGee tossed the final 4.0 innings, allowing 2 earned runs on 6 hits with 5 strikeouts and a walk.

Offensive Showcase:
- Daniel Lizarraga - 2-for-5 with a home run, 3 RBI, and a run scored
- Kyle Tolley - 2-for-4 with a triple, 4 RBI, and a run scored
