MONTICELLO, AR. - The University of Arkansas at Monticello Softball team hosted the Savage Storm of Southeastern Oklahoma State for a GAC series. The Blossoms opened the series on Friday with a doubleheader, securing a series win with a sweep on the day. UAM took game one 8-1, before run-ruling the Storm in game two, 12-4, in five innings.

With the doubleheader sweep, Head Coach Kyle Lem recorded his 150th program win.

Game 1, 7 Innings

Scoring Recap:
Southeastern saw their only run of the game come via a UAM error in the first inning.

The Blossoms saw themselves put up seven runs between the bottom of the first and the bottom of the third. In the first, Jolie Bazan doubled to left center, bringing in Kylie Bonicelli and Aubree Goodnight.

Goodnight singled in the second, scoring Maddie Moore. Goodnight once again came in off a Jolie Bazan single to left center. The inning concluded with Dacia Sexton plating Bonicelli and Bozan.

A sacrifice fly from Goodnight scored, Carleigh Deeds in the third, making it 7-1.

The final run of the game was put on the board in the fifth as Lainey Tippen singled through the left side, scoring Madelyn Willard.

Pitching Performances
- Kayla Olthouse secured the win for UAM, pitching all 7.0 innings, allowing just one run on one hit, while striking out three batters in the process.

Offensive Showcase
- Aubree Goodnight - 2-for-3 with 2 RBI and two runs scored.
- Kylie Bonicelli - 2-for-4 with two runs scored, and 1 2B.
- Jolie Bazan - 2-for-4 with 3 RBI, 1 2B, and one run scored
- Madelyn Willard - 1-for-2 with 1 2B and one run scored.
- Maddie Moore - 1-for-1 with 2 SB, and 1 2B.

Scoring Recap:
UAM scored at least two runs in all five innings in game two, adding the first two runs in the bottom of the second as Dacia Sexton doubled up the middle, scoring Jolie Bazan and Aubree Goodnight.

In the second, Kylie Bonicelli sent a ball to centerfield for a single, as Lainey Tippen scored on a SE error, and Bonicelli moved to second. Bonicelli saw herself crossing home as Jolie Bazan singled to second base.

The Storm put their first run of the game on the board in the third off a home run to right center.

In the bottom half of the inning, they once more applied two runs to their column as Madelyn Willard and Lexi Livezey crossed home off a single down the left field line from Maddie Moore.

Southeastern saw two back-to-back home runs in the fourth and a run off a fielder's choice to make it a two-run game, 4-6

The final six runs of the game came between the fourth and fifth innings for UAM. In the bottom half of the fourth, Ayrland Jiles and Dacia Sexton crossed home via Willard's single to left field.

Inning five for the Blossoms saw the most runs scored in the game as four crossed home. A bases-loaded walk plated Goodnight, while Willard singled to center field to bring in Jiles and Bazan. Arkansas-Monticello run-ruled the Storm as Maddie Moore singled to second base, scoring Jade Keaton.

The Blossoms secured a 12-4 win in game two, adding on the 8-1 win in game one, and secured a series win over the Storm as well.

Pitching Performances
- MaKenzie Martin started in the circle for the Blossoms and secured the win. Martin allowed three runs on five hits, striking out three batters.
- Kyleigh Benton received the call to enter the game, allowing just one hit on one run in her 1.0 inning of work.
- Ronnie Johnson closed the game for UAM, pitching 1.0 innings, allowing just one hit.

Offensive Showcase
- Madelyn Willard - 3-for-4 with 4 RBI and one run scored.
- Dacia Sexton - 2-for-4 with 2 RBI, 2 2B, and one run scored.
- Jolie Bazan - 2-for-4 with two runs scored and 1 RBI.
- Kylie Bonicelli - 2-for-4 with 1 RBI and one run scored.
- Aubree Goodnight - 1-for-4 w with 1 RBI and two runs scored.
