Blossoms Split Thursday Doubleheader with Tigers

Scoring Recap:
Jolie Bazan kicked off the scoring for the weekend, driving in Jade Keaton with her first triple of the season in the bottom of the first.

Keaton scored a second run in the third inning on a throwing error from the shortstop.

Ouachita Baptist scored a run in the fourth with a solo home run to left.

The Blossoms scored their final two runs of the ball game in the fifth. Bazan drove in the first on a double down the left field line that brought home Ashlynne Vote. Dacia Sexton brought home Bazan four run number four with an RBI single to center. The contest would eventually conclude

Pitching Performances
- Makenzie Martin tossed a complete game for the win in the series opener, totaling 7.0 innings with one run allowed on four hits. She struck out three batters.

Offensive Showcase
- Jolie Bazan - 3-for-3 with a triple, a double, two RBI, and one run scored
- Dacia Sexton - 1-for-3 with an RBI

Scoring Recap:
The Tigers struck first in game one, scoring four runs in the top of the first. The first three were scored on a home run to left center, and the fourth on a bases-loaded walk.

UAM responded in the bottom half of the inning with five runs to reclaim the lead. The Blossoms saw four different players with an RBI, including Lexi Livezey, Kylie Bonicelli, Dacia Sexton, and Carleigh Deeds.

Ouachita Baptist scored two runs in the third to push the Tigers back ahead, eventually taking game two, 6-5, to split the doubleheader.

Pitching Performances
- Kayla Olthouse started in the circle in game two, tossing 0.1 inning with four earned runs allowed.
- Ronnie Johnson went 5.2 innings with one earned run on five hits with a strikeout.
- Makenzie Martin closed out the final 1.0 inning with only one hit allowed and a strikeout.

Offensive Showcase
- Aubree Goodnight - 3-for-4 with a run scored
